Making our way to...Austin!
A Trip with the Family July 12, 2023 We started out to Austin today, my mother, me, my sister, my daughter, and a family friend. Just us girls. We had plans to go to since the beginning of this year, a trip for just us. I was so excited to get on the road. My sister was driving, the first time I didn't drive in ages. Then....traffic, the highway was shut down. Great, so we navigated the backroads and found a lot of little towns in Texas that I had heard of but did not know where they were and then, we made it to 35, now was a straight shot to Austin. We made it and checked into the hotel. Turns out, there was snacks and cocktails that night so we got to munch on free food and alcoholic beverages. Lots of plans, lots to see. Day 1 - Botanical Gardens. I loved them, so pretty and peaceful! The will have a fully completed Japanese garden soon with bonsai trees and Japanese maple trees. The starting area was pretty. They had a koi pond, butterfly garden, dinosaur garden with all t
